This is where it gets a little tricky. This is How I do it:
(I believe Wes does it too, or at least something similiar). I have a removed pick-up on my guitar so I can kind of switch on and off. Play the open E and quickly switchback and forth (on/off/on/off/on/off etc.)
using the toggle switch.You can also add on a wah-wah and start depressed and slowly press it as the on/off rhythm goes on. Listen to the CD to understand.
